Rooted in Community. Driven by Legacy.
We’re not just in the business of insurance—we’re in the business of empowerment. Founded by a Detroit-based team committed to financial justice, Driscoll Family Insurance & Wealth Solutions exists to help entrepreneurs protect what they’ve built and prepare for what’s next.

Our Story
Where Love Meets Legacy
We met doing the work we both love: supporting Detroit entrepreneurs. From day one, we connected over our shared commitment to racial justice and our belief that entrepreneurship is a powerful path to closing the racial wealth gap. What started as collaboration quickly turned into something deeper.
As we got to know each other, we realized that our visions aligned—not just professionally, but personally. We brought together our expertise in insurance, credit, philanthropy, and community finance to build something rooted in legacy, protection, and purpose. And along the way, we fell in love.
Today, we’re engaged—both in life and in mission. Driscoll Family Insurance & Wealth Solutions isn’t just a business for us; it’s an extension of who we are and what we believe. We’re building this company for entrepreneurs like you—people with vision, grit, and a desire to create lasting impact.
And we’re inviting you to join our family. Whether you're a founder, funder, or ally in the ecosystem, there’s room at our table. Let’s build something powerful together.

Our Mission:
To equip Black entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and protection needed to build wealth and create lasting legacies. We exist to close the racial wealth gap by making financial literacy, insurance access, and capital readiness culturally relevant, affordable, and actionable.
Our Vision:

We envision a world where legacy isn’t reserved for the privileged—it’s planned, protected, and passed on by us, too.

Expert Guidance for Your Future

NIMAJ DRISCOLL
Founder & CEO
Financial Educator | Capital Success Coach | Legacy Protector | Entrepreneur Advocate
Nimaj Driscoll is a steward of possibility—Detroit-born and deeply committed to reshaping how Black and Brown communities engage with capital, risk, and resilience. With over a decade of experience across banking, community finance, and insurance, he has become a trusted architect of economic transformation. Nimaj’s journey through traditional financial institutions and community development financial entities (CDFIs) has resulted in the deployment of over $10 million in capital—each dollar a doorway to dreams too often deferred.
As an entrepreneur advocate, Nimaj orchestrates access to capital strategies for the ecosystem. He guides the lifecycle of community-centered capital from design to disbursement, ensuring that every product reflects not only financial sustainability but cultural integrity. Under his leadership, CDC Small Business Finance earned the SBA Michigan District’s Community Advantage Lender of the Year award two years in succession and Top 10 Lender of the year, a reflection of both impact and innovation. But for Nimaj, the true award is the look in a founder’s eyes when they finally feel seen—and funded.
Outside of institutional walls, Nimaj moves with the same intention. He is a licensed insurance professional, credit coach, and business advisor, offering guidance that blends technical rigor with spiritual grounding. Through his firm, Driscoll Family Insurance and Wealth Solutions, he offers culturally attuned insurance and planning support for Black entrepreneurs navigating both the seen and unseen risks of ownership. His counsel helps clients root their ventures in clarity, protection, and legacy.
A founding member of Aya House, a Detroit sanctuary for healing and impact, Nimaj sees financial wellness as inseparable from collective well-being. His commitment to transformation has earned him one of the city’s highest recognitions: the 2024 Michigan Chronicle 40 Under 40 award, honoring his vision, leadership, and service to community. Whether in the boardroom, the barbershop, or a business credit consultation, Nimaj walks with reverence for the hustle and with strategy for the harvest. His work is not just transactional, but transformational: shifting narratives, reimagining risk, and redefining what is possible when capital and culture move in alignment.
